Default Car died at startup.

So ever since Ive had my s2000, when I start it up the rpms dip down and they go back up. It dosnt do it that bad but enough to notice it. Well today I started it up and when it dipped down, it went so far down that it died. I went to start it back up and it took a second to turn over but it did start. I still drove it to work, with my eyes on the rpms and I noticed at idle it stays a little under 1k. Was this just a freak thing or is it something I should get checked out?

Same thing happened to me but also when driving the engine shut off...I think it is due to weather change where I live and the extreme cold...I just replaced the battery good luck and I let you know if I continue having the problem

Also fill me in if the map sensor helps

For some reason when the engine is very cold it will sometimes die when you try and start it.
Happens to me, all you have to do is when you first start it watch the tach and keep it at 1500rpm or so for like 5 secs and when you let off the gas it will idle normally for warm-up.

i do that same as above. it's a common problem with the s2k. it basically tries to adjust to the weather change.

feed the hamster before start up .. he doesnt have enough energy to turn the wheel...
