Default PLEASE HELP: Body shop says radiator doesn't fit in my GS-R???

Hey guys. My car is at the body shop and I recently bought what's supposed to be a 2000 GS-R radiator used from somebody on Honda-Tech. (Name withheld for now until I find out the facts)

Radiator originally in my 94 GS-R: PA610+PA66~G (says Showa)
Radiator I bought: PA66+PA612~G (No label)

The body shop claims this radiator won't fit in my GS-R. Did I get duped? Is this an LS radiator? Will an LS radiator fit in a GS-R with no modifications? What about the fan shrouds? I really appreciate any help you guys can give. The body shop won't work on the car until they get a radiator that fits (Long story, I'm providing parts to save $$) .... argh... Thanks a lot ahead of time!

UPDATE: The body shop guy wasn't very clear. The problem seems to be that my old radiator fan doesn't appear to fit the OEM radiator I gave him. Have the radiator fans changed from 94-2000?

Once again the LS and GSR radiators will fit physically. The fan mount locations are different.

LS= Denso
GSR= Showa

Hope you can get it straighten out with the dude!

Thanks for the clarification on the LS vs GSR issue. I guess my only question now is: Has the radiator on GS-R changed anytime during 94-2001? The guy I bought it from assures me it's a GS-R radiator, yet my body shop says my old fan doesn't fit on it?? Thanks again for any help you guys can give! (You have no idea how frustrating this is)

well, it depends..... if u have the showa radiator, which is the better of the two. then the fans should fit. if you bought a showa radiator. how can you tell?

well, there are two radiators. one is showa, the other is denzo.

showa radiators are thicker then the denzo. denso is probably and inch or less thick. while the showa is probably 1 1/2 inch thick.

denso is black plastic......

showa is tan... i think..

well, my showa radiator blew after i duct taped the over flow tank cause i lost the cap, and i didnt know, that pressure was being built up....

so now i have a fludyne....

no problems here.... new fan tough.
