thing is, i bought this car for my daily driver, i want it pretty much stock. i have a Mugen wheel w/ Signal QR hub coming for my 2001 ITR (pic link in sig if you're interested) and i really want to put the JDM ITR non SRS wheel in the EF hatch, as i bought the car with some ugly POS APC
steering wheel on it and i can't stand it
(LOL) i already ripped off the APC
horn button and threw it out the window. hope i can get some help from you guys beofre i try it out (couple weeks)
i think i heard the JDM ITR non SRS is a direct fit for the CRX (just heard a long time ago, 50% sure) and if it is don't know why it wouldn't for the Hatch. thanks guys

^^^ This man speaks the truth, I just installed mine today, though I did pull out the canceler, I dont plan on leaving it that way, it just had to be opened up a bit, so I'm taking it to work wednesday and opening up the hole so it will slide in further, to allow more threading. I'm gonna follow up this post with a how to/with pictures, I just have to upload the pics to something.
Ok, to begin with, yes, the H actually does just pop off, and the screw is right behind it, mine was a 19mm, I used a 3/8th size ratchet to get it off.

All you have to do is pull off the H, undo the nut, and the steering wheel will come out without force, easy as cake, my whole center piece was actually broken, so I just ripped it off and said expletive the H, although afterwards I did pop the H off
lol

Next, if you dont care about the turn signal cancel'er, just pull it off, be careful though, make sure the little strip of metal doesnt make contact with the metal part of the canceler, or you're gonna be throwin sparks, lol, maybe a smarter person would undo the battery, but I'm not that kinda guy

If you want to keep the cancel'er, I THINK you have to open up the center of that metal thingy, I tried a few things, and in the end, I'm pretty sure that's what you have to do because that's what hits the bolt, and reduces the amount of useable thread, I'll be taking it to work with me Wednesday to open it up with a die grinder, i'll let you know of the results next weekend.

As for the ITR steering wheel, undo the 6 bolts around the H using Allen Keys

Once they're all off, pull the ring around the H off, dont try pulling off the H, there is no need!

Begin pulling off the rubber stuff off the steering wheel, which is only being held on by a velcro-ish material

This is what it should look like once you've pulled the cover off the ITR wheel

And this is the rubberish cover

Now just put the new steering wheel as straight, or as crooked as the tires are, so your steering wheel doesnt look sideways when you're going straight, and put the nut back on and tighten it. I fucked up on the straightness, so it's a little sideways when I'm going straight, but no biggie, since I'll be taking it off when I put the grinded canceler back on.

Hook up the two wires, yellow and black, the yellow one goes with the hollowed connector, and the black wire goes with the phillips connector.

Put the rubber-ish thing back on, make sure it's nice and tight around the back, with no gaps or unwanted bends, and VOILA! Enjoy the pictures

You shut the **** up, you ******* invalid. It's not my fault you don't know how to search, so you bump your thread 3 times in a row. I read you searched but your actions show otherwise. The **** was just covered under a week ago.

lol, relax, I did a write up, it's done, were all ok, anyway, I havent checked yet, but I think the most useful thread of these, which I know there are many, should be placed under the FAQ so that it's easy to find, for those who know how to search, I havent looked in there yet to see if there is one, but just a suggestion if it hasnt already been placed in there

Yeah good writeup. Lots of good info you need to post that in the FAQ. Some people act like morons on this forum. Like the OP.

Those wheels feel phenominal. The look isn't even half of it. Thy big fat leather wrapped hand rail is oh so comfortable.

Hell yeah!.I went out for a drive in it last night after I put it in, and man, I had a way better grip on it than with the original wheel. I now know why honda decided to put that in a Type . It makes me feel like I have more control over my car. seriously, the comfort is just that great.
