Test fit: Bisimoto Engineering , jenvey and cover...will have to get couple of cm under the oil pan, cause this header is made for B16A engine and barely clear oil pan...

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
reason for beeing replica is cause I just couldn't do so much mods on real one...to expensive so this cover is just right for doing that

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
it's this kit:
AEM Plug-N-Pin Kit for EMS 30-1010, 1012, 1020, 1050's, 1052's & [35-2610]
http://www.xenocron.com/aem-plugnpin...52s-p-761.html
from AEM, but since AEM unit uses OBD plugs those should be same as OEM, it's just that these are AEM branded...

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
Lots of new things happening...
Had to do modiffications to all of those belt covers, for endyn timing belt tensioner, for skunk2 cam gears and for ATi damper...could there be anymore of those custom parts
and then I torqued head on block and test fit Skunk2 low profile valve cover washers...I think those look pretty cool in black...all other things on engine will be black (oil hoses, AN fittings etc)
and some other things that I was working on but will show in other post...pedals project...
timing belt covers modiffied
(I later modiffied the lower part for cam gears too, so now it's circle)
torqued head and cams in + those skunk2 thingies
and waiting for lexan windows to show up 8)
@bks84: no problem at all

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
Plan:
Engine needs cam degree check and then I can seal this thing,
then I have to finish pedal and steering wheel project and meanwhile I'll get lexan windows and I'm already in contact for all fuel, oil and brake lines at HEL Performance...then gearbox needs to be assembled and joind with block and put in car and then all those electronic wired and I think then we're ready for dyno...
Pedal project:
mock up
(tilton brake and clutch pedal + s2k gas pedal (for now))
this is how it'll look in the end
this is what I have in mind it'll be adjustable in all directions with this items
(this items are attached to bar, to firewall plate and to steering column)
so little welding and adjusting is need to be done

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
finally finished this long project of polishing rocker arms, all weights are accurate to 0.1g, on top is weight before and weight after (whole set with midlle valve and screws) and on the bottom is weight after for each rocker arm...
and this is how rocker arms looks like after all that work is done...this chapter is finished...ready to be installed in head...but first tons of measures (valves, cams etc)

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
@jsinher3: I used dremel for doing this, to be precise I used two diff. tools one electric and one air, but just for beeing quicker cause I had diff sandpapers on them, but in general I used sanding stones for start and then went with diff. grids of sandpapers to custom made dremel tools where I glued finner sandpapers on (600-800-1000) and then polished with 2-3 diff. pastes...so time consuming job, it's worth to get every buff out with that sandpaper that you're working cause it'll all show if you don't after couple grids later just take your time and be carefull not to touch parts that are in contact with other parts like cam pads or inner side (hole), you do just parts that are rough, in my case all is smooth out no drastic removing of material...

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
Got the rest of the pieces from my oil cooler setup...
Looks like I'll have to do mix between GREX and MOCAL since I don't want to run that oem oil cooler and this mocal item is done to be compatible with that adapter (no way for outlet on my build, since it's side outlet)...
It contains:
- oil relocate kit (grex and mocal)
- mocal thermostat
- setrab oil cooler 25row
- black hose
- black AN10 fittings
I'll use grex block adapter since it has better outlet (top) and mocal relocate filter adapter since cause it has better mounting point and outlets...
Big thanks goes to Ben from www.helperformance.com
(dealers for Mocal and Setrab)
