the wiring goes has follows, take the 2 wires from the clutch switch that is "closed" when the clutch is completely depressed, and take both of those wires to the big brown connector by the shifter and insert both wires into the brown connector. it does not matter which wire goes where as long as both are in the connector, i attached a picture to help

according to the part numbers from Majestic honda, they are the same. i would give it a try if you found one at a junk yard they probably wont charge you more than 15 dollars, otherwise theres usually some on ebay. good luck

You've been extremely helpful. I really hope everything will go smoothly. During my spring break is when I'll be doing the swap. F22 tranny to the h23.

I'll have to change both of my axles right? not just the Driver side? And h23 axles will go into the f22 tranny right? Are all the axles interchangeable? I just wanted to know so I don't waste any money.

Is there anything else I should buy or have extra before I do this?

I'm about to get the clutch master and slave cylinder from autozone.

well when i did my swap i mated a M2S4 5-speed to my H23 (M2S4 is the stock H23 5-speed transmission) and i kept the passenger side C/V axle, it was the same no matter if the car was an automatic or manual.

in your case you are mating a f22a1 5-speed (P2U5) to the H23 block. im about 95% sure that you can keep your automatic passenger side C/V axle i would try fitting it first because usually they are the same. but i could be wrong simply because i have not dont this exact swap.

BTW if you need any specific pictures of any parts let me know its no problem

See I would easy reuse the axles from the f22, but those are non abs.

Is this right?

and do you still connect this piece circled in red:

yes, you have the wiring right, but you need to wire it to the other brown plug, the one attached to the cars wiring not the automatic shifter brown plug, because that whole automatic shifter assy. will be removed.

and the grey connector is only used to wire the reverse lights, you take the reverse switch on the transmission and wire to the wires on that plug. i cannot tell you exactly how to wire that, because its the only thing i havent done yet, but im gonna do it this weekend or the next, so ill be able to tell you soon

-REVERSE LIGHT WIRING 4TH GEN-

find the grey plug that was attached to the automatic shifter slide switch

find both the yellow and green w/black stripe wire

cut them and connect, turn on ignition to "run", go look if your reverse lights are on. if so

find 2 new wires to run from the yellow and green w/black stripe wires (originally from the grey plug) to the two wires attached to the reverse switch mounted on top of the transmission near the shifter levers.

note: polarity does not matter, the two wires can be attached to the reverse switch either way and still work.

pics of the yellow and green w/black stripe wires EDIT: i'm a moron and i took a picture cutting the green with white stripe wire, you need to cut the wire to the right of the yellow wire, which is green with a black stripe, sorry

locate your reverse input switch on the top of the transmission, attach the 2 blue wires shown above to the reverse input switch. all done!

More questions:

Will the VSS work from my auto tranny on the f22 manual tranny?
Where did you run those wires for the reverse lights? (which hole)
Did you pull out your motor when you did this? I'm asking because after pulling the clutch lines from the parts car, I saw that they're really deep in the firewall.
Also are the clutch lines the same from the f22 and h23/h22?
What's everyones opinion on this clutch and flywheel combo? Since I'm on a budget and this is my daily driver.

I had my engine out when I did this, the clutch lines should interchange.

I ran the reverse lights through where the heater control valve cable comes through.

I tend to stay away from ebay products in places like clutches and flywheels, they're crucial to operation, and hard to replace if they mess up. You should check the clutch poll threads from the past and see if anyone has been ok with that clutch. The flywheel will probably be just fine.

I'm not sure on the vss, but I have to assume not.

can anyone confirm that the vss aren't the same from manual and auto? rather, that it won't work, I checked the part numbers and they are off by 1 digit. one ending in 51 the other in 50.

I've had nothing but leaks with eBay hydraulics. I always go oem.

The flywheel/clutch sounds great, thats what I ran.

It is most likely the same crap you get on eBay.

Its up to you. I'd spend the $100 and go OEM to save the potential headache.

Most autozone stuff comes with a warranty, so at least if it fails, all you have to do is the work.

So here are things I still need to get:

Driverside ABS axle
clutch master and slave cylinders
New bolts for intermediate shaft?
OEM throwout bearing
rear main seal?
axle seal
tranny fluid
brake fluid (for clutch line)
Hondabond? needed?
type sh shift boot

anyone wanna add stuff to the list that please do so.

Hey H23prelude, did you just get a matching nut and washer and put it on the other side? How did you prevent the bolt from sliding into the lower hole?
