As soon as the Legend name plate was replaced with the RL, we lost coupes and manual transmissions.
I hear there is at least one person already rolling around in a KA9 RL with a 6 speed manual gearbox from the Legend that preceeded the RL. Honda really didnt change much on this chassis, kind of like how Honda went from the EG to the EK, lots of swapable parts, minor improvements, but mainly appearance changes.

Wow, more info on the 6 speed swapped RL please, that's pretty cool! Where did you hear this, where is this guy?

hey what do you know...someone is interested.
Okay, I guess the guy is in California somewhere. I talked to him a couple of times, but he didnt get back to me the last time. I got the gist of the swap tho.
all the components you need, pedals, clutch master cylinder, shifter and linkage all bolt in to the RL. The tranny bolts in but one bolt hole does not line up. Its okay, but I would probably make sure its more or less covered up so no water gets into the clutch assembly.
The tranny mount is not a perfect fit. I think you just have to add washers to move the mount further back and it will bolt up. The auto trans is longer than the manual.
You still have to wire in the reverse light, and there probably is a reverse lockout so that you dont put the gearbox into reverse while doing a 5th or 6th gear change like the RSX 6 speed.
I believe he also just used his automatic ecu, he didnt change the ecu.
If you are finiliar with Hondas and how easily parts swap within chassis, this will be just about the same.
A 6 speed RL sounds pretty sweet. Id wait for my auto trans to go out before doing this swap tho.

Sounds pretty similar to DV8's 3.5 RL block with legend Type II heads and auto to manual swap in his 91 Legend sedan. I actually just swapped my 94 GS Legend from auto to manual 6 speed as well. BTW I'm the guy with the new 3.5RL motor for sale.

Re: (LeGeND4LiFe)
ah and you got me all excited that there were actually RL people out there like me actually I like the uniqueness of the car, I still roll out to hybrid meets with all the Civics and Integras. I think they're the only ones that dig the JDM style of my car haha.
