92 accord tranny?
I have a 92 accord ex and the tranny is about shot. It is an automatic and since i am in high school, I don't have the cash for a manual swap. What would be the best route to take. Should I just get another f22 tranny? I saw somewhere that the tranny from an h23 would mount up to the f22A6, is this true?

Little birdy tells me that it bolt right up...never did mention a price... I have a 5-speed manual tranny and other parts if you want to swap to a manual, I even think I could part with it cheap...pm me if you are interested. Almost anybody on ht that knows anything will tell you that a 5-speed tranny swap is perfered before a turbo setup. I'm not saying you will turbo, but 5-speeds are quicker imo.

How much would it cost for a manual swap? What 5-speed manual do you have? h22 or f22?
If i decide to stay automatic, would I notice any performance gains by using an h23 or h22 tranny?

Cost for someone to swap it for you? Anyway...I have a F22 tranny which bolts upto the F22 and H22... the difference between the F22 and H22 trannys are the gear ratios. The F22 has longer gears which is good for turbo, and shorter gears(H22) is better for NA... but both works fine.

What is the cost to have someone swap it? And what would the cost be if I decided to swap it?
I don't plan on going turbo, so would shorter gears help out the acceleration of the f22a?

I'm not sure what the cost of someone putting it in for you, but I'd probbly be willing sell for a good price. As far as performance, the h22 tranny will accerate better than the f22 tranny, but I'm not sure how much difference it makes though(As I never had an H22 tranny in my car).

I really considering an H22 auto, but just in case, how much do you want for the f22 manual? Is there anywhere else i could look to make sure the H22 auto is just a bolt up?

There are many places you can look at to answer this question:
honda-tech.com
superhonda.com
cb7tuner.com

Well... how much are you willing to spend? Not meaning to intrude, but something you might want to think about... I'm pretty flexible.

Re: 92 accord tranny? (supercreed2002)
the price to install the manual from auto depends on the area you live in and who you take it to. just to do my auto swap was a grand. if i wanted the manual it would have been like 1500 not including the extra 500-1000 in parts needed to do the conversion.

I have a 1991 honda accord ex that I could make a complete manual swap kit with all the parts needed to do it... let me know if you want it.
