ignition timing, vacuum leak or valve lash too tight. also check engine timing
look for leaking manifold gasket, or possible blown head gasket. to do a leakdown test find a fitting to compress air in your cylinders one at a time on tdc. an old spark plug with the center drilled out works good. check for leakage from cylinders next to each other by removing the plug and listening for air. also check radiator for bubbles and listen in oil fill. ignition on an eg should be 16deg +- 2deg. important to check valve lash between rocker arm and valve stem tip. while cold intake should be about .006" and exhaust should be about .008" to check engine timing set #1 cyl. to tdc and see if the arrow or "up" is directly up. also unplug your iacv if rpms drop to 450+- 50 it is function fine. did you get any codes? cel codes else where in this site.
