ok I recently got a 97 LX civic coupe AUTOMATIC only good thing about it full body kit rims interior blah. no sun roof no power blah blah blah...
I never buy an automatic......

what can i do to make it FAST besides turn it into a manual?
what are all my option?

I cant sell it or get ride of it my girlfriend bought it for me for my b-day a few days ago (so have to keep it) also painted it custom for me ..... also she cant drive stick errrrr soo I suppose I should be ecstatic its the thought that counts.....
dont get me wrong I love her to death. BUT GONE DAMN GUY TALKED HER INTO BUYING IT ERRR DAMN U MEN LOL j/k j/k j/k she is very naive when it comes to cars more than me.if only it where manual i wouldnt even be here lol

what can i do? I dont care about money..... i get everything whole sale ne way. what parts er, what should I do?

I only drive manual and so i dont know anything about auto. trannys sux in auto they go out to easy.

first, we require pics of you and your girl. secondly, turning from an auto to a manual will just give you slow stick-shift car. if you are stuck with this car then just get 2 big bottles of NOS and call it a day.

i was just about to say the same thing.. save your money and do a motor swap... after that its all downhill because you'll be spending money like crazy to go faster... haha

hahaha, back in the day, i put an intake on my mom's 97 LX. its still on to this day. guess what, its still slow!

if its a two door.. it would be coupe, but not lx... its either ex, hx or dx i believe.. someone correct me if i'm wrong

Does your GF require you to keep the car an automatic?? So that she may drive it? If so the only faster auto's that would be a fairly simple drop in would be either a JDM B18C1 auto shipped over from japan, or a H22A or H22B(H22A is vtec and only JDM motors come with a auto option, while the H22B is non-vtec and is USDM and comes in auto trim out of preludes and accords)
Either way if you sticking with the auto, you can have some performance improvements, just keep in mind to add a trans cooler, and anything that you do do to the engine to push it past stock will diminish the life of your auto tranny....
