Re: Honda CR-Z Mugen RR
honestly how about we all wait because you guys know the crx didn't come out as a si at first so maybe Honda will see that they only sold like one or two in each state so they well think hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe we should release a non hybrid model only in the future give it a year or two and something will happen like hasport will get the idea soon or latter anyways
The FD2 CTR isn't even being produced anymore. Honda is changing to all fuel economy, and slowly dissolving their racing heritage... or so it seems.

Yet they still compete in different racing classes the world over, on 2, 4 and no wheels.

She is a beautiful car for sure. I'm glad to see Honda is going with the times, and trying to find a way to incorperate "sports" and hybrid together. They are doing the job, but have a ways to go. My b16 EH2 get's the same mileage as a CRZ but is twice as fun, but on the other hand, is a 20 year old rattle-can that is rough, uncomfortable, and has zero options.

and honda will never come out with a k motor in the crz ever cause that motor is ten years old now. i doubt they will even come out with an si because they are just looking for economy cars now. they dont care enough about the aftermarket to spend money on making it easier for such a small group. in my opinion, our community is maybe 7% of the market. they are more worried about parents buying their college kid a reliable car.

the krz in honda tuning, the guy had to cut the engine bay out just to fit it. hasport may come out with some mounts but the fact is the bay is just way to small!

As far as the si version goes, if they made it they would have a hard time selling civic si with the huge mpg gap between them when gas prices can go up 15% in one week if it only had similar performances.
It's not really the family car that the civic is but I would buy it over the civic as it is right now

The opportunity to be able to make it to 200 hp is already good enough of a sign to me that they will make it alot better in the future and there are pics of honda testing out a turbo'd pre prod version of the CR-Z so there is much hope for this car power wise, the handling is already more than decent.
I will gladly trade a few ponies for +20 mpg any day when gas is 1.50$/Liter (5.67 per gallon) and climbing like theres no gravity.

The cr-z is the 1st gen hybrid ''sport'' car for honda and probably any car maker... Toyota can't even make anything sport with their current hybrid tech.

Its funny because this car is barley faster than its single cam older brother.
This car was all hype and is no different than a SCION.
IMAGE and Marketing thats it

Re: Honda CR-Z Mugen RR
Honda needs to get with the program and start putting turbos on some of their sports cars
they probably already know this but turbo+hybrid = 200+ hp easily + great mpg + small increase with the price tag
