Re: P1 Spec Splitters
After years of wanting the P1 kit and (PCI) wing, I finally pulled the trigger early this year.
3 events later, its still on the car (unlike ecko_3420 lol)
I was able to improve on my pb at SOW by more than 1.6 secs
And at Buttonwillow, was able to match my cold weather pb last year on a warm day last month.
While having a new lsd also might have played a big hand there, the car has more composure now than before.
I am very happy with Kiwi's splitter kit and wing Thank you for coming out with products like these!
(bought em thru Revo, btw coz i live too far )

Your car looks fantastic and congratulations on your improved lap times. Good luck with your efforts in the future and don't hesitate to call us if you need any help or advice.
Sorry we couldn't get those 4dr. side skirts done but were working on it.
We would love to use your Photo's to promote P1Spec Aero & PCI
Best of luck from Special Projects Motor Sports/P1Spec and PCI

Re: P1 Spec Splitters
Got my CRX kit (and extra air dams) and it all looks great on the car. I've only done 6 laps with it but in Sept I will see how it performs in race conditions. For those of you playing along at home, this kit is an extremely good value. I talked with a local fellow that does custom fiberglass and carbon fiber work for race cars and race boats and he said just to make the lip would be $400 for the mold and $400 for each subsequent one. He then asked me how much I paid for the kit and when I said the whole kit is $500 is first response was: "you should have bought 2."

Re: P1 Spec Splitters
Reading up on this awesome thread with lots of great info!
I am a Time Attack participant from the Netherlands and have been running a 1998 Civic Coupe with a build B18C for some years now. Have arrived within .2 seconds of my class time limit without any aero modifications and a small 1.8L engine beating 600hp Evo's and skylines is much fun for sure!
Now replacing my old and trusty B18C with a K24 power plant, planning on keeping it pretty simple and putting down 270hp at the crank. Will be moving up a class in Time Attack and also want to start with putting aero on my car. Contacted Jeff and already received a quote for a complete kit from him! I like his filosophy on the splitters and his kits seem to be of the quality i would want and feel safe with running on my own car! Have seen several fellow Time-Attackers constructing their own Airdams and splitters and beeing blacked-flagged or having sustained serious damage because of indistructable mounting brackets and such. Not something i would like... better have a set of splitter blade and mounting brackets in the pit ready to replace between warm-up or qualification and final laps.
A question i have for you guys out there who run his sideskirts on EK Coupe's with 15inch wheels... what height do you recommend? I think Jeff mentioned 5inch in his quote. Will this be too low? Can they be easily modded to 4inch? I might need to raise my car a bit due to the lower oil pan clearance with the K24, so would like to get the higher ones, but if it ends up beeing fine with the 15inch and current ride height, i don't want the sideskirts to be too high so then it would be a good deal if i can trim them down myself...
Looking forward hearing your 2cents.
Thanks!
Here are some pictures of my car. (Yes those are number plates since it is still road legal!)

Re: P1 Spec Splitters
P1 Spec Front Splitter kit mated with a Spoon style VIS lip. I have both the P1 Spec air damn and 5" sides at home, but haven't got around to throwing them on yet.

Re: P1 Spec Splitters
Hows the fitment of the airdam on the USDM DC2 splitter? is quite abit of work required to fit it to the bumper or should it fit on perfectly straight out of the box?

Re: P1 Spec Splitters
Nice job of installing everything Dom, I see you managed to overcome the rear exhaust muffler problem.
The rear diffuser was designed on our Race car so the rear muffler was never a problem, however most of the guys have either re routed the tail pipe into the diffuser vanes or used a smaller muffler on the rear.
Great job looks very nice.

Re: P1 Spec Splitters
Hey guys. I've got the P1 Gen II splitter and air dam for the EG6 chassis on my del sol. Yes it did require a lot of chopping of the front bumper. Still tweaking it a little but for the most part I am happy with the outcome.

Re: P1 Spec Splitters
Why would anyone seriously drive a race car in short sleeves and shorts or any organized body let someone do it, mystery to me?
No disrespect, I get the "donut" moniker, just the hole is in the wrong place!!

"Man its hot down here"or something similar.Probably only wearing thongs on his feet too.
Our governing body down here ( CAMS ) has got enough sense not to allow it.

Re: P1 Spec Splitters
Hey all,
Anyone know if Jeff/Kiwi is around anymore? I ordered some parts from him Feb 9th and haven't had an update. I tried sending a message on here today and via email about a week ago as well as calling the number on his site...no response.
Getting a little nervous.
Ninja Edit: Just got a hold of Jeff on his Cell, there are some internet problems so if anyone needs to get a hold of him, use his cell posted on the site on the contacts page...they are in the process of updating the contacts page. Top notch guy, glad to do business with him. Can't wait to get his parts on my car.
Ian.
