Integra starts up and dies immediately
B18a1 high compression
I have searched and people have said fuel filter, fuel pump, main relay (which I doubt), etc. I'm here to ask.
Basically, randomly I will start my car, it idles up and drops right back down and dies. I try to keep it alive by giving it gas but doesn't do much. It dies. It will do the same thing maybe two more times and then bam, third time or so, I give it gas to be sure and it stays on. I noticed it does it after I go to a few places, shut off the car, get back in, turn on and do this quite a few times.
Anyone have any suggestions? I haven't changed fuel filter. I just wanted to know if there some troubleshooting I can do before I dish out money. I have a multimeter and tools.

Re: Integra starts up and dies immediately
When this happened to me, I was stumped. The tow guy showed me what it was: my ignition was so worn it wouldn't stay engaged, so the engine would die. He kept the key all the way turned like when you start the car, left it there, car stayed running. Once he let the key go to normal engine died. Got the new ignition assembly for something like $50 and back in the saddle.
This might not be your problem, but can't hurt to try it out.

This was happening to me i did a tune up, an went away. Change fuel filter as well. I found a great tune up kit on rock auto for 89.00 It includes NGK Iridium spark plugs. Good little kit on the cheap.
