Vtecintegra - when you commented 'GTFO!' when you were passing the Corvair and the hatchback, I thought that the comment was directed at the driver of the Corvair, but was it really for the driver of the hatch going so slowly? - Jim

Haha I don't know any details about the Corvair that was in our group. I know that it was faster than about every car in a straight line but the driver was all over the place... racing/blocking in qualifying... and it's weird line was catching other drivers out by chopping across the apex.

My comment was at the Corvair! The hatch I knew was a slower car but at least he would get out of the way of the faster cars.
They are wild cars for sure - good friend's Dad has had a few of em and I remember him pointing out the 90° belt... Was more frustrated at the driving.

Video from an auto-x I ran yesterday with the Florida Corvette Club. My best run of the day, I managed to pull off a 43.5 and took top spot out of the Hondas. There were 8 or 9 Honda/ Acuras out there with various setups. All B series though! Not sure where I stand overall with the Corvettes, but should be somewhere close to the top as well.

Here was a run I did yesterday at brooksville, not my best run, I turned my gopro off for the last three runs and get my better times, doh!
start at 45 sec or so.

Its actually a fire fighter training facility. It was the first time I ran there, was pretty fun. Got up to about 85mph on the back straight, some of the vettes can get up to 120+ out there!

Figured we would add to this.

This is the A-Race from last sunday, at atlantic motorosports park in Nova Scotia Canada. 2 part video for some reason. Late in the race is when i turned a 1:16.1. not sure what lap. But its just such a friendly car to drive. I did not know i was running the times i was. Felt fast but more like 17 or high 16 then low 16s. We broke the old FWD track record, was 1:17.2 in a 1700LBS 140HP CRX. I started to pedal the car late in the race seeing a faster GT-1 car coming. I really wanted that chequered flag. We changed a lot over the winter, and wanted to prove it was right.
Stock JDM ITR motor 4.7FD trans with Mfactory diff. 2460LBS 95 Del Sol VTEC.



Any input is welcome. Good or bad.

So this was my first auto cross on actual auto cross tires. There is a lot of rattling from the gopro mount so you might want to turn the volume down. My fastest run was the 5th one which starts at 5:08. Let me know what you guys think about my driving

I spoke about the difference in cornering forces in another thread but yeah, I struggled with a lack of camber and getting heat in my tires. The data from the two cars showed he had .2 more G forces in constant lateral load, everywhere.

He was doing 1:31's and I was doing 1:32's with the chicane. I have now solved my camber and tire heat issue. It won't be as easy for him next time. Now I just have to replace the hub/bearing/axle that broke yesterday.

Hey guys here's a video of an open track session I did over at Englishtown's Raceway Park Road Course. If there's anything you notice, any tips, or advice to better my driving let me know. I do notice I shuffle the steering wheel on turns so I'm trying to break the habit of doing that.
