It really is a shifter, some are different/better than others. What's a price you are comfortable with?

I have a Skunk2 and I like it.

id pass on the k tuned. reinventing the wheel= stupid. i dont want multiple parts where a simple lever should be. ive had skunk2 and b&m. both are nice.

They're more expensive yes but well worth it, even more worth it if you do time attack auto-x etc.

It's been years since I've had to remove mine but if I remember correctly all I did was remove shift **** so the shifter can fall through it's opening, two bolts underneath the car holding the shift linkage to the tunnel, and I believe two more hold the two linkages together, and last the bottom bolt holding the lower linkage to the shifter. That's not alot of disassembly in the grand scheme of things (unless you are running something that required a cable shifter be installed and didn't mention that in your first post).
