98 auto Crv. New to me project.
Hi guys, just wanting to introduce myself and my CRV.
Picked her up for 2k, was a one owner car with only 135k on the clock. All the service was done at the honda dealer I work at. For being in the rust belt the car is pretty minty. I have a few plans for her, such as changing out the wheels for some 16 inch black meshies. A mild drop with sleeves over integra and dsm rear struts. Also would like to boost it with a very mild turbo setup. Nothing crazy, just a 14b pushing 7 to 8 psi, 450cc injectors and a safc for tuning. It's worth while for me as I already have these parts left over from other projects, and I'm not planning on boosting to the moon. I have owned several turbo dsms, and currently have a 88 MR2 SC and a rx7 FCC chassis in the stable as well.
Thanks for looking and feel free to leave comments.
Thanks again,
Eric

Looks clean and that's an awesome price. I picked my 2000 up for $1200, but it has 230k and was very neglected. Luckily nothing major, just lots of cleaning and love to get it nice again.

Nice grab. Nice plans for it. Just watch you don't want to put to much boost to it, the auto trannys can not handle that much more to them.

I bought mine from a co-worker that didn't know what she had. 200k on a Honda isn't the end if the world but she assumed the car was done. Now that I cleaned it up and did some work on it, she kinda wants it back. Lol

It was a trade in at the Honda dealer I work at. I got quite lucky finding it, it does have a o2 sensor code for a bad converter, but it hasn't effected it running yet. With plans to turbo it i don't want to pay for an Oem converter just to rip it out again.

I currently have a 99 crv 2wd lx thats boosted on safc. I have it on a 10psi spring on a small t3 50 trim and it was surprisingly fast. Unfortunately tranny gave out a month ago due to high mileage 166 on the clock. So try to keep a light foot and buy a backup tranny just n case.

Besides the usual turbo hardware. You use a apexi safc or vafc, greddy fic control, megasquart (a piggyback system). Or really go primitive and use a fmu (not advisable). There are post all over honda-tech. Just search for "afc hack" and you will be rewarded.
