Default 1998 CR-vicious frayed throttle cable -where to find?

so it turns out honda discontinued the 1998 throttle cable from their inventory and apparently it's impossible to find. But it looks like if I search 1999 it's a different part number of 17910-S10-A61. apparently this cable is in stock at Honda but a 1998 cable is not. What would be the differences between the two for it to not work? Is it a different style connector at the pedal or the throttle body? I always thought these things were in a changeable between years so what would be the big difference I should be able to use the 99 throttle cable right?

the 99 cable is much longer as it routed over the valve cover and back to the other side of the throttle body. I highly doubt it will work.

I had the same issue when swapping engines in my 98 v and the throttle cable frayed on me.

I bought this cable and it has worked fine for well over a year.

You can get a OEM civic cable for about the same price.

it might be a different length but it works just fine. I have to move the throttle cable bracket back one bolt and just use one bolt but it holds just fine.

why do you care what it looks like if it fits fine and works fine? simple matter is that honda doesn't make the 97-98 MT throttle cable anymore and non seem to exist the 92-95 civic cable will fit as its working on my crv right now.

The del sol throttle cable is shorter. I used it on my civic when i did a mile wire tuck for better looks.

Hey guys I got the eg cable and a 84 honda Cvcc cable. The Cvcc cable fit perfect!!! I didn't need to adjust the cable mount back at all. I'll take some pics here shortly
