Re: How many miles do you get per gallon?
I drive a 99 Honda Accord V6 Magnaflow Catback and AEM CAI. Mostly city driving and 20mpg. I don't always drive conservative either. When I had the AEM CAI alone I got 30mpg highway!

So far the replies look pretty good, but these topics usually end up with some pretty ridiculous claimed mpg.
It would be nice to see what equations/number are being crunched to get the mpg figures.
I'll show you how I get my mpg on my 1990 Civic wagon with B18B1 swap (LS tranny currently too)
310/11 = 28mpg
310 miles on the tank, and the tank is 11 gallons (at least that's the most I've ever crammed into it)
That number can get as crappy as:
240/11 = 21mpg
This is with the a/c on pretty much all the time, and hitting 7200rpm a few times daily.
This is all city driving too, as I've not been able to take this car on a road trip. I'd probably get some pretty good numbers if I could take a road trip AND not have the a/c on at all. for some reason the a/c really drops my mpg like crazy.
I'm hoping to get better city numbers by not having to use my a/c at all during a full tank cycle. The 28mph figure included a few rainy days where I had to run the a/c to best defog the windows.

Re: How many miles do you get per gallon?
I calculate mine using the number of miles driven that tank divided by the amount of fuel I needed to fill up. Unless you're always putting 11 gallons into your tank, you might be getting artificially low mpg figures by dividing by 11.
The downside to this method is that unless you're filling your tank to exactly the same level every time you fill up, there will be some variation from tank to tank. However, it does average out, and you get a very accurate average over time.

This is why I use "11" as my capacity figure - it's the same every time if filling up from below "E" to spilling-out full.
Too often people use the capacity figures either listed, or what they think their tank holds rather than averaging how much fuel it takes to fill it up each time. I see people using "10" as their capacity when in fact the listed capacity if 11.9 gallons.

Re: How many miles do you get per gallon?
I get between 32-34 mpg and I'm boosted, I drive 70 miles a day for work
I divide the amount used to filled up the tank by how many miles are on the trip meter

Re: How many miles do you get per gallon?
98 DX Sedan Stock 320 miles/9.8 gallons =32.6MPG mixed driving
Best 40mpg in seattle traffic(~40 mph steady and slow).
93 LX Sedan B20B LS Trans = Almost same ~32 mpg
" " D15B7 =33mpg, Best 42 mpg Elensburg-Renton I-90
Big fan of "same energy to move the same weight" as long as the gearing is decent.

Re: How many miles do you get per gallon?
After a fresh tune-up I got 38mpg with my 2000 civic EX.
With my 97 Accord V6 it was a very consistent 25mpg.
Both with mixed driving but mostly highway.

Re: How many miles do you get per gallon?
1993 civic dx hatch 5 speed - all stock, swapped in; JDM D15B with tranny, (installed 5/13/2010, approx 35000 miles on engine), I/H/E/chipped ecu. (ecu is chipped P28 with P72 base map, vtec is set at 4348rpm, redline at 8000rpm). I drive 78 miles a day to work and i do 60-65mph (2900 rpm @ 65 mph) the whole way on mainly state highways. my driving is 80% highway & 20% city. I run Amsoil in all my cars and motorcycle. The worst I got was 30.45mpg, I did this on purpose to see how bad it would be. every light i would take off like a bat out of hell and do 70 mph plus to work. The best - 42.71mpg I took it real easy for the tank full (grandpa style), didnt get much over 60mph. My friend who installed engine said it pulls as hard as a stock B16A3 ( he has one in his 1994 dx hatch) I have 185/60/15 yoko avid trz's. HERE ARE MY NUMBERS;
