Re: ALL M0T0R's 2nd build thread
On the topic of this balancing issue, you two need to realize that someone like NAH2B build race motors, the guy does things with his motors that most of us would consider a waste of time or deem unnecessary for our builds, however that doesnt mean the points he makes are irrelevant.
So tell me again how much more experienced he is to where I can't disagree with him.
Besides, I have an '03 join date. Boo Yah!! lol

Re: ALL M0T0R's 2nd build thread
The irony of this statement is what's amazing.
How do you know how experienced or knowledgeable I am compared to NAH2B? Do you think I'm some kid with a V8 car that my parents probably bought me and I can't possibly know as much as this NAH2B guy?
What a coincidence, I build race engines too. I also machine those race engines as well. Does NAH2B do the machinework as well? It doesn't sound like it. It sounds more like he sends his parts out to be balanced by guys like me. I'm not saying he doesn't know anything, it's becoming more apparent him and I have a misunderstanding more than anything.
So tell me again how much more experienced he is to where I can't disagree with him.

Re: ALL M0T0R's 2nd build thread
Update: Wiring i had done before, was kindof redone.. i cut down alot of plugs and what not, even kept some of the stock loom and what not just made it look nicer..
With that said, all plugs coming out to see in public view will have a kevlar covering on them.. i'll post some pics tomorrow morning of the redo. So pretty much the wiring / clean up of the wiring is done.. I'll post pics of the tranny cleaning saturday.

Do you know what irony means? I dont recall insulting you or your intelligence and thats what i was referring to, that and the reference to Rocket made by someone else. So if you please explain the irony here.....
The way youre spouting off at the mouth to others here you very well could be some punk kid with a POS Firebird, but Ill leave your car out of this cause nothing I could say about it would be any worse than it actually being a 2000 Firebird with the typical douche of an owner. Also, if you are who you say you are and know as much as you think you do, you would know how to have an intelligent conversation about a subject with someone who knows as much if not more about the subject as you.
The way youre going about things makes it hard for anyone to put any value into what youre saying here. NAH2B is someone with a reputation here and HAS PROVEN himself. You might consider doing so before you go challenging those that have.
So because he has someone else do it on his Hondas and you work on domestics, that makes you more knowledgeable on this subject how? And PLEASE with the misunderstanding bit, trying to redeem yourself after acting like an @ss for your last ten posts does nothing for you. If anything, admit you misunderstood what he said and leave it at that, youd be better off.
Here let me find you a cookie. It seems like you need one. From what I see we never mentioned join date or post count. I for one hate it when people are judged by such things. An actual Honda F1 racing team engineer could join here tomorrow with 0 posts and a 2010 join date and would still know more about racing than either you or I.
Oh I must not forget since apparently this is what people say when they want to look smart, "OH THE IRONY"

Re: ALL M0T0R's 2nd build thread
Building a V8 is alot different than building an Honda motor. Like Unknown said, Apples and Oranges.
Oh, care to share what you have done in your V8 world, because right now, your acting like your the ****, when really, your nothing. So, care to tell us why you are the ****?

Most late model V8's, like the ones I'm used to, are internally balanced as well as Hondas are. I have also built and machined several B-series Hondas, as well a Nissan stroker SR20. So I do have experience with internally balanced engines, not just with V8's either, so the statement by Unknown that I'm not experienced enough to argue with NAH2B is a false assumption. The point was not to make me seem like the ****, as you so ignorantly accused me of, but to show that I at least have the experience to have a debate with NAH2B instead of swallowing his dick like the rest of you. You don't even know the difference between "your" and "you're", so who are you to talk ****? Why don't you come back when you've mastered 5th grade English.
Here's a couple of my builds since you're (<-see how that was used?) interested:
Nissan SR20 (made over 700whp)
Ford OHC Mod Motor (made over 800whp before going to SEMA)
440ci LSX
Dodge Viper
...and for good measure, a B18C1

Re: ALL M0T0R's 2nd build thread
Im not going to bother picking apart that last post because it seems like im talking to a brick wall. You seem to forget this little gem you dropped on the second page in reference to NAH2B:
"Of course it doesn't make sense to you, you don't know what the hell you're talking about."
Totally unprovoked and without forethought. THAT is how this argument started, but I must remember its always easier for the simple minded to point the finger at others.
BTW, if youre implying that because American V8's can easily break the ten second barrier that it makes them not pieces of ##it, then I have news for you. Im sorry that cars with motors not even half the size of your Trans am's lump have taken a bit longer to catch up. Who would have thought that 1.8L and 2.0L engines would require more work to propel a car down a track as fast as a 6L would? You must have learned that working in that shop makin them dragsters pull an eight second pass!
A POS is a POS, doesnt matter whats under the hood, remember that.
Oh and sorry about misreading the sarcasm portion. Its hard to discern sarcasm from idiocy coming out of an idiots mouth.
ALL MOTOR I sincerely apologize. This is your build thread so please continue. Im leaving well enough alone.

I've got news for you as well, I used to drive imports. I used to own a B series swapped EG before I got my Trans Am. I still drive my Trans Am. In my personal experience, that little Honda Civic was the POS and I took very good care of that car. Have you owned both cars like I have, or are you just saying what you said out of blind bias and internet bullshit?
Oh, and we didn't race dragsters and we didn't run 8's either. We ran 7's on a stock style suspension Camaro. The All Motor class car ran 8's...
If you guys are so worried about trashing this thread, then why add to the stupid side arguments? NAH2B and I are talking balancing, adding that technical aspect which people have already said they've learned from. The rest of you are either swinging off NAH2B's ball or just being a smartass, adding nothing to the technical argument.

Re: ALL M0T0R's 2nd build thread
I'm a serious 2.0L, thats why, the head is 5 angled.. CR is higher.. these cams require displacement to make power.. i haven't talked to donf yet, so i'm not so set on anything yet.. but if i dont go with the m24xx's i'll stick with the pro2's but i feel like the m24xx's would probably better serve me.
oh btw, the pistons - for the guy who asked i'll get the part number later next week, but they are endyn rollerwave pistons, custom made, 12.8CR

Re: ALL M0T0R's 2nd build thread
whats with all the crying? your all to smart to be so childish, people build motors in different ways not saying that 1 way is wrong but if they both make power so the end result is the same what is the difference?

And just for the record, every factory honda crank Ive had balanced were near perfect already according to the machinists. VERY minor touching up needed.

Anyone can learn to build a engine, it takes time, patience, and precision to build a reliable long lasting engine...
This comment:
And this one:
Completly contradict each other. Last time I checked.. saying someone is a dick, especially without them here to defend themselves, is bad mouthing
Anyways...All M0T0R, what header pipe are you using?

Re: ALL M0T0R's 2nd build thread
I've raced a few turbo d series and turbo ls's.
I raced a stock ls-t on 12psi put about 3 cars on him
EK with k20z3 built head, stock block
civic si 03 k20a3 on 10psi
i raced a fully built d16 on 13psi from a low roll, and pulled him by a half a car
just in general.. i raced a gsr on 10psi too a few months back but.. i dont even think that was a race..i dunno..these were all while the motor was in my dc2 and on the s2s2 tuners..
