ABS fault code
I have a friend who owns a 1994 Accord Sedan (EX model). Her ABS light keeps abruptly turning on [cutting off the stereo], then it abruptly turns off [turning the stereo back on]. Her braking components all seem fine, I went through and cleaned all ABS sensors and checked all the ring gears (everything is in good condition). The brake pedal seems fine and the braking system has no leaks. From what I've read (I know nothing about ABS except it sucks), the ABS light will turn on b/c of insufficient battery voltage to the ECM. Once proper voltage is restored the light will turn off.. Her battery is fine and she has no other fault codes in any other system except the ABS. So...
-How do I pull up the ABS codes using a jumper (ie. like the engine's ECU diagnosis system).
-What does each code mean (ie, CODE 24: Speed sensor 1, etc).
Thanks 4 ur time H-T gurus.

Re: ABS fault code
You do it the exact same way you would for jumping the ECU codes. The SCS connector is a blue two pin connector under the glove box. Short that and count the flashes from the ABS light, not the CEL.
Here is a list of ABS codes,
1 The hydraulic pump motor is over-run
1-2 The hydraulic pump motor
1-3 Is a high pressure leak
1-4 The pressure switch
1-8 Accumulator of high pressure system
2-1 Circuit of handbrake warning lamp switch
3-1 Rotor teeth damaged on right hand front wheel speed sensor
3-2 Rotor teeth damaged on left hand front wheel speed sensor
3-4 Rotor teeth damaged on right hand rear wheel speed sensor
3-8 Rotor teeth damaged on left hand rear wheel speed sensor
3-12 Combination of different sizes of tires
4-1 Circuit of right hand front wheel speed sensor
4-2 Circuit of left hand front wheel speed sensor
4-4 Circuit of right hand rear wheel speed sensor
4-8 Circuit of left hand rear wheel speed sensor
5-4 Right hand rear wheel lock
5-8 Left hand rear wheel lock
6-1 Front fail safe relay
6-4 Rear fail safe relay
7-1 Right hand front, hydraulic modulator solenoid valve
7-2 Left hand front, hydraulic modulator solenoid valve
7-4 Rear, hydraulic modulator solenoid valve
8-1 Operation of the ABS
8-2 The ECU
8-4 Internal circuit of the ECU
Hope this helps

Re: ABS fault code
Yup, that's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. And I figured it was like jumping the ECU codes, but now I know it's the blue plug that I jump; thanks again!

Re: ABS fault code
Hey DUHC, did you figure out what was going on with that 1994 accord sedan? I have a similar situation- My radio speakers quit working when my ABS light came on recently, after replacing the master cylinder & flushing brake system & ABS unit. I pulled the codes from ABS and found code 1-3, high pressure leak. I've done some research & plan on resealing the ABS pressure accumulator this weekend, but I don't know if there's really a connection between my ABS light coming on & my speakers going out around the same time. Plz post an update if you figured anything out, Thanks!
