Warning: Nagano Japanese Motors
Like some of you may have noticed, in the past few months I have been working real hard at making a name for myself in the JDM engine industry.
Well, needless to say many older companies must of started to feel uncomfortable with my presence on the web, and have decided to act totally unprofessional.
Today I received a phone call about a customer who read bad things about us on Honda-Tech.com, I immediately logged in to check it out. Some newbie posted some very untrue facts about my company- basically libelling without facts, alot of them.
I decided to find out who was posting these false claims. The poster indicated that 2 of his friends had purchase no good engines from TB, and we were apparently ignoring their calls and emails. I sent an email pretending to be a customer to Nagano. When I received a reply, I took note of the IP address. I messaged one of the respectable moderators of HT (George Knighton) with the information, and he told me the information pretty much matched.
So, Nagano was libelling my company. WHY? I don't know, it's very unprofessional and well I believe due to this inconvenience, I would take a few minutes to share all of this with the rest of you. And the worse part is most of the people who replied to the fake thread believed the information, and a few threads similar to "... I almost purchased an engine from them..." immediately followed.
I originally assumed it was Nagano because they called me Tuesday, it was a short call and all they simply asked what my address was, it was kind of odd. I checked the phone call log, and the call came from Nagano- which they attempted to hide their number at first. So this happening today, I put 2 and 2 together and immediately concluded it must of been them.
Here is the IP information from the email reply I received, and the information that matched their post on HT.
Received: from naji ([67.68.203.49]) by tomts25-srv.bellnexxia.net (InterMail vM.5.01.06.05 201-253-122-130-105-20030824) with SMTP id <20040107203355.HAZP6920.tomts25-srv.bellnexxia.net@naji>
Their website is http://www.naganojapanese.com/ I'm not suggesting you do not deal with them, but simply exposing the people you are considering doing business with.
I joined this industry because I know the lack of good customer support and honest hard work was starting to lack, or in some cases was never present.
I apologize for the long read, but I think I should share this information, and it might make someone think twice before dealing with Nagano.
Take care,
Andre

I figured I would not lower myself to their level with lies. So I employed ACTUAL facts to get to the bottom of what happened today.

Hopefully people from here will start reviewing your services so you can set yourself up on HT....like hmotorsonline. I bet 70% of his business comes from people of mouth on here.
I dont know what to say about Nagano, but they dont sound Japanese. Lol.

Re: Warning: Nagano Japanese Motors (Nihonjin)
Yep, word of mouth is huge in this industry! I fully respect Hmotorsonline, they have been around for ever and ship great engines.
To get where they are you need to earn people's trust and become a very reliable source. How do you do that exactly? Well slandering a competitor for one is not a good way to achieve that goal!

Re: Warning: Nagano Japanese Motors (BauleyCivic)
They did that to simply attempt to injure my company- I don't see any other reasons.
I don't think they suceeded, it only back-fired really.

The post was actually deleted. I had requested to the mods that it remains up but it disapeared... to be honest with you, it was a good read.
So many things about myself and my company I never knew existed hehe!
