space between hood and bumper on 93 EG??
when i close my hood on my 93 EG it appears that there is a small bit of space that isnt normal betwwen the front of the hood and the bumper. everything lines up along both of the side edges and along the windshield. it looks as if my hatch has a overbite and the hood is slightly too big. OR maybe im trippin and this is how its sopposed to be. i dunno? advice on how to fix if need be. thanx..

Borrowed this pic from another thread (not my car)
I don't see any gap. I'd run out to my car and double check...but I'm lazy

My car has the same thing going on, and I am pretty sure that it is because my friend's sister backed into my car and pushed the radiator support back about an inch And since the bumper is attatched to the radiator support, the bumper also sits back about an inch from where the hood comes down.

yes mine is off right now.
It can be a couple of things... either you need to loosen all the screws on the bumper and slide it back towards the driver compartment then tighten it... this will bring the bumper up a little higher.
Or you can try loosening the hood latch and sliding it down a little bit... this will hold the hood a little lower.
Or you have minor bends in your frame which are to big to be adjusted out.
good luck

My hatch was wrecked, not bad just a fender bender. Anyways whenever I bought new hood and bumpers and put them on, only the hood was "certified" to fit correctly. So if it's a new bumper it may not able to fit. OEM Honda bumper would probaly fit correctly, but will cost a lot more.

Mine doesn't have that problem anymore since i used a coupe hood. it is just a bit longer than a hatch.

Measure the corners diagnolly, and they should be even in length, if frame is most likly bent or fenders are in/out too much from being hit.

mine fits perfect...
did you have an accident or a bump at all?
how does your bumper look like (is it kind of bent, dented...)

Yup yup,
My sedan has the same problem after hitting a deer.
I didn't replace the radiator support and that’s why it has a huge gap.
It suxs, I can't stand it.
I would say it’s your radiator support or something.

If you can actually SEE where your radiator support is bent in, it is easy to fix. I got in a minor accident in my accord and me and a friend fixed in an hour or so.
First take your bumper off.
Park car facing tree or other heavy object. (make sure ebrake is on and transmission is in park or reverse)
Use a racheting tow strap to hook the tree and your radiator support together.
Just keep racheting until your support is even.
You will have to rachet the support out alot further than even, because it tends to springs back into position once you let go (don't be afraid, your stuff is already messed up anyways). We went around my rad support and had to hit about 3 different places before we got it all straight. Done. Fits cherry baby

Re: space between hood and bumper on 93 EG??
back from the dead. my coupe has this issue. I am thinking Rad support. Is this what is most likely the problem? My hood looks like it has a half inch overbite.
I have actaully seen other egs at meets with the same issue. Maybe the rad support has some kind of a bend point when it gets into accidents.
