HTP INVERTIG 221
I dont really post anything on this forum anymore but I was so happy with my new machine I thought I would start a thread to shed a little light on this welder for the people who are in the market.
The machine shipped to my door here in Hawaii was approximately $2800.00. The package included everything one would need to start welding minus a gas bottle.
The machine has nearly all the same features as any other but additionally it has 220 amps vs. 200 and you also have the ability to adjust the AC amperage independently which is not available on any other machine in its class.

This is what I'm going to upgrade to. It looks to be a great machine. How thick of aluminum can u penetrate with it. All on a 30amp breaker. Inverters like this give me boners. Also heard the low amperage control is pretty bad ****in ***.

Re: HTP INVERTIG 221
I've been pondering on getting a tig welder lately and have done tons of research.. At 1st, I had my mind set on the Everlast 256, but after reading reviews and sucn on the interweb, I'm going to shy away from the chinese products and go with a quality unit.. I've already got a Lincoln mig bought in 2001 and it has not let me down since.. But it's time to move on into the world of Tig and this HTP has sparked my interest.. I know it's a bit pricy, but you got to pay to play.. Hoping to do some work on the side to help pay for this "great" little machine.. I may even end up selling my Lincoln pro-pack 100.. Looking to jump the gun and drop $3k for the DV version..

Re: HTP INVERTIG 221
I upgraded to one of these for home/personal use from a Diversion 180 and am very happy with it. The Diversion I'm able to do intercoolers with but it's at it's max and welding any type of brackets to the cores takes a while to heat up. The extra 40 amps of this machine really helps in those situations, plus having a water cooled torch for extended use.
