453 WHP 300 torque stock b20/vtec
Went to the dyno today w/ my buddy's stock b20/vtec and made 453whp 300torque @ 19 psi. Setup are simple, Nippon stock low compression b20 cast pistons stock rods and bolts. Head is a b16 w/ dual springs and retainers and ITR cams. Fuel used were mixed of 110 unleaded w/ 93 octane pump gas. Here's the video we took today.

Took the car to the track tonight and see what she does in the 1320 and here's the video:

Most all the failures on stock b20 blocks I've seen are thrown rods. Stock rod bolts can't handle the rpm and extra power. Cracked sleeves are usually caused from excessive cylinder pressures. If you have no detonation and do not beat on the engine too hard it will last.

It was done at Reinhart Automotive in Orange park by my house. Dennis the shop owner is an awesome guy he even ordered pizza for us to eat when we took a beak lol. I'm taking my car there and some cars that I've tuned on the street to use his dyno.

Nice numbers. I'm hoping for something similar on a low budget side build I've been working on.

Its not a stock block if you have low compression nippon pistons...
The b-series "vitaras"... nice car man... seems like yall built it well... The pistons should hold over 500... I dont know bout the b20 sleeves tho

Took the car to the track tonight and got what the owner wanted, to run 10 second in the 1/4. Congrats to Lembo the car owner/driver, good job buddy and good driving. Video is on the top of the page.
