fault code #10 IAT SENSOR
i just recently got this fault code. i had never had this fault code ever since i swap the motor and it's been about 3-4yrs now. i have a 96 gsr in a 2000 ek coupe with obd1 harness. i checked the code and that's what i came up with code # 10. the car doesn't idle funny and the performance is ok. with any feedback asap would be greatly appriciated thanks.

Ey.
It's about $50 from Honda. It's called the Intake Air Temperature sensor. The part should be on the back of your intake manifold, oval in shape with two screws, 2 wire plug.

I know what an EGR valve looks like, and no, that's not what I'm talking about.

Re: fault code #10 IAT SENSOR
bump this to the top... ive resested the ecu and changed the sensor and still no answer... what happens is my cel will go off and my car will be running funny and when its on it seems to a little better with the cel on. when i give it gas, and the sensor goes off, and when i gas it itll loose power.

Re: fault code #10 IAT SENSOR
For every honda/acura (at least up to 2000) engine with the exception of the 96-00 Honda Civics (including the B16A2 in the Si) it bolts to the intake manifold. Like this some where either on the back, front or one of the runners. The sensor will either be black or white:
The 96-00 Civics look like this:

Re: fault code #10 IAT SENSOR
I have a code 10 and 16 (16 I think is just to reset ecu,so I've heard). I have a 91 civic with a stock replacement d15b2. does anyone know where the iat sensor is on it? There's like 3 plugs going into the intake manifold, and none on the intake arm. I just dont know which one it is, ii looked around the internet but couldnt find anything. Thanks in advance!

Re: fault code #10 IAT SENSOR
believe it or not i had the same problem code 10 IAT sensor on my 93 civic eg with stock p28 ecu and b20vtec/b16a engine in it. I found that i mixed up the 2 plugs- knock sensor and IAT. I switched them around and it worked great!!! time to test n Tune
P.S. i used a b18c gsr engine harness and needed to extend some wires but that was all

Re: fault code #10 IAT SENSOR
I think the IAT sensor he needs is a DOHC IAT not a SOHC that you can get from the honda dealer for $15(thats the one that goes on the intake pipe) he need the one with the two screws that runs about $50-$75
