Two horns on the 97 Honda Accord
I'm looking for the location of the two horns on the 97 Honda Accord. I found one in the engine bay on the right side as you stand in front of the engine. Where is the other one?

Re: Two horns on the 97 Honda Accord
I found one horn on the frame rail and disconnected it. There wasn't another one near it. The horn sounds like it is on the other side but unable to find it.

The two stock horns are located in the center between the rad and the bumper on the 5th gens (96-97 for sure). The two rusty saucer shaped things circled below are the horns in there factory (1996-97) locations.

Re: Two horns on the 97 Honda Accord
Unfortunately, that's not where I found them. Here's a pic of the two that I have found so far. One of them was behind the front grill and the other was on the driver side frame rail. However, there is third one that I am trying to figure out where it is. I tried to put some pics here but couldn't figure it out. This is similiar to another forum but the pics post is different here. Ah, I figured it out. I can't post attachments. Bummer!
Anyway, I have found two horns so far and looking for the third. I still have a car horn going off.

Re: Two horns on the 97 Honda Accord
So what I gather is that there were only two horns installed normally and the third one is the car alarm which would make sense. However, I have no information about the car itself. No owners manual or service manual is available with the car. I'm flying blind here. The Honda dealer doesn't have any information about this type of car which is kinda strange and I don't know what this car has installed. I'm guessing factory-installed alarm but the reset that I have been told doesn't work. I'm trying to disconnect the horn so that I can research out the car alarm. I've got babies on my street and I can't have the horn going off. I've disconnected two horns and looking for the third one. Where would they have put it? It's too loud to stand by for any length of time.

lmao! gotta love used cars.
In my parts car, there was a light switch panel (brushed metal type intended for a house) on the under part of the dash under the steering wheel with rocker switches that did God knows what..

Re: Two horns on the 97 Honda Accord
I've been thinking about it and realized that the car horn that I am hearing is the alarm horn and not the normal car horns all of this time. I think that it is in the right front fender well but when I opned it up, couldn't see anything in there but wires. Could they actually put it in the dash? I looked all around the engine bay but can't see anything. It's definitely on the right side of the car when it is blowing.

Looked under the battery tray and found nothing. Not sure what you mean by charcoal canister location. In Vettes, they put the vapor canister in the back end of the car. There is a long black canister by the firewall. Making an assumption and assume that is the charcoal canister. Looked around it and saw nothing. Will keep looking around the right front of the car.

Other location would be right behind the turn signal. Personally I'd remove the front bumper since it is not too difficult and I'd see if I could find any aftermarket wiring. Unless they cut open stock stuff and slipped it in you should be able to distinguish between '97 Honda wiring and whatever brand alarm wiring.

Re: Two horns on the 97 Honda Accord
Thanks. The real problem is that the car alarm system won't reset. I don't have any remotes and the door key reset that the Honda service advisor told me about and several mechanics confirmed doesn't work either.

@jetjock Did you ever find the hidden alarm horn? Or, does anyone know where the hidden alarm horn is located. From what I can tell, if you are facing the car the hidden alarm sounds like it's somewhere on the right side of the car. Thanks!
