Driver side A/C

Driver side A/C
Hey guys, had a question about a problem on my 2003 Accord, btw its a EX V6.
So I had my Tranny rebuilt a few days ago and before the tranny rebuilt my A/C was working perfectly. Now after the rebuild in which they disconnected the battery, the driver side does not blow cold air. The passenger side works perfectly, it blows hot and cold air, the driver side on the other hand blows hot air if I set to it but not cold air. The air it blows when I turn it to cold feels more or so just like the fan is on or outside air. It is a dual A/C system. If anyone can help out with this, would be great. Thank you!

nab, i signed on here to get similar info. except, i am the shop owner who changed the color, paint job, on an 06 accord. the battery died on us and after everything was said and done, we get nothing blowing out of either vents. no heat, no a/c, no defrost, nothing. i know for a fact that we did not touch anything having to do with the a/c. but now it does not work.

Re: Driver side A/C
NAb, your vehicle is most likely slightly low in charge. Theres no reason to discahrge the ac during transmission removal on your vehicle. Might just be a coincidence. Have the shop check it out? If they can't or will not take it to someone who can. WIth such a large ticket. 2500$ plus, unless they are die hard I didn't do it(because they didn't) they shouldn't have any issue with checking it out, then selling you the actual repair.
Rhino, does the ac compressor and underhood cooling fans kick on but no air comes out of the vents inside or no ac function at all. THis maybe a coincidence also, the transistors are prone to failing in this model accord.

Yea turns out it was low on charge. But for no reason I was driving the car yesterday and the ac compressor didn't turn on, but after starting back up after stopping somewhere it worked. It hasn't happened again but was weird.

Re: Driver side A/C
Have replaced a few compressor coils dor that reason, Also have found a few faulty relays for the same reason. If it doesn't happen again I wouldn't worry about it.
