Cylinder Head Plug (seal) for 01-05 Civic
Does anyone know if I have to slip the camshaft off the timing belt to replace the cylinder head plug?
For those of you not familiar with "cylinder head plug." Imagine older D series motors that had a distributor cap and rotor on the passenger side of the motor. Now imagine our newer D series motors that runs coils instead of dizzy cap and rotor, that dizzy cap has been replaced by a "cylinder head plug." Its basically a cheap piece of plastic with an O-ring on it. Apparently the O-ring deteriorates quick, I have seen oil leak from that area even on 01-05 Civics with low miles.
If you know how to replace it or know where I can find such information (google wasn't my best friend tonight), please point me at the right direction.
