Re: h23a accord wagon
Important, i guess it is if you have to pass emissions testing....will it fit, it should. I know i swapped my EGR from my F22 to my H23A just because the connector faced a different direction and i didn't feel like lengthening the harness. Fit just fine so i imagine the H22 should work.

Not to nitpick or anything but..... Euro R / UKDM Type R Accords don't have a H23A.... they run a H22A7. You might need an OBD2B Pinout as well seeing as the 2001 JDM Accords run OBD2B ECU's.

Re: h23a accord wagon
I would run a P28 as you could always retune as you do upgrades..... what kind of chip are you planning on running in the P28 if you don't mind me asking?
I guess the guy who sold it to you wasn't completely wrong, the Euro R Sedan & CH9 Wagon Accords do look alike, so he may have been saying that to give you the idea of what vehicle it came out of.

Re: h23a accord wagon
I'd suggest a chrome if you're a little on the tight side of money things, but a Hondata if you can stretch your budget that far. I'm contemplating reverting my Euro R back to OBD1 and tuning via Chrome as well, let us know how you get on with your tuning.

Re: h23a accord wagon
I wouldn't gain anything from changing my intake manifold - my car is actually a JDM Euro R Accord (CL1 is the model code)
An H22A base map cleaned up would be "OK"..... but a tuned map would be better. (as I said all down to budget)
Also you may need to source a USDM H22A4 Power steering bracket as the CH9 Accords have EPS (Electronic Power Steering) and dont run a power steering pump.
There's two way you can go about it, one is to attach the bracket I mentioned and muscle your standard Power Steer pump onto the engine, or run the bracket and power steer pump off an USDM H22A4 and modify the pipes to fit.

(F20B is a destroked H22A from the same family of Accords your H23A came from)
It should help you with the wiring of your ECU.....
