OEM Type R wing onto GSR
Hi guys I'm putting an OEM type R wing onto my gsr and would like to know if I have to pick anything up from the dealership to install it correctly. Will I just be reusing the same screws from my gsr spoiler? Thanks for your help!

If its a new wing everything should come with it.... double sided tape, and 4 ten mm nuts.

Re: (IntegrasAreBest)
Get the double sided tape from your Acura dealer. If you dont use it you will get paint damage on your decklid when you torque the wing down.

Yup, I really wish the previous owner of my GSR would have used some when they mounted the horrible whale tail wing on there . Oh well, trunk will be fixed soon enough.

Re: OEM Type R wing onto GSR
theres actually going to be 2 holes visible. go to home depot and get some nylon plugs. 7/8 for the passenger side hole and 7/16 for the driver side hole. you also might want to use a little bit of clear silicone on the outer edges of the plugs to keep water from getting in the holes. this is the info i found while researching on team integra. ima be replacing my wing soon also.

I'm glad I came across this thread, I just took my gsr wing off and am about to replace it with a type r wing also. I will have to have my paint guy shave those holes cuz I had no idea. Speaking of, GSR stock black spoiler fs or trade for type r wing plus cash.

Re: OEM Type R wing onto GSR
I welded in the holes on my GSR hatch..
There is one big hole from GSR spoiler light wiring (~1") and a smaller one for one of the mounts (~3/8") if I remember correctly. Welded in a patch to fill the holes..
IMO weld them over just putting plugs in... it looks a lot cleaner and you don't have to worry about rusting etc.
Also, don't forget that you also loose your 3rd brake light. You might want to pick one up from a RS or something....

I dont like the replica's.
Does the OEM ITR wing use the same holes as the GSR holes? Obviously some of the holes will be left uncovered, but do I have to drill any new holes for the oem ITR wing?

Yeah it uses the same bolt holes.. the GSR just has a few extra's.
You don't have to drill any holes to mount an OEM ITR spoiler onto a GSR hatch.
