COMPTECH VS. Apexi WS2 VS. GReddy SP2
those are the 3 exhausts i'm looking to get for my car. I don't want anything loud so i chose these 3 as my options. Please Vote which one you think would be better. I'm going to have a JDM 4-1 Header, Hi-Flo Cat, and 2.5" piping. IF you guys have any other suggestions on other exhausts that give better power WITHOUT it being ridiculously LOUD. let me know. haha Thanks
BTW... I have a 3rd gen Integra. LS motor.

ws2 has the best tone of them all. comptech is too loud, sp2 is too raspy, ws2 is perfect. deep, not loud, not raspy at all
after installing mine, ive noticed better response from the engine after 2.7k rpms.

hm.. bsampson, so do you suggest any other mufflers i can get that is 2.5"? i ws thinking of gettin magnaflow piping because i can get it cheap, and thats why i'm asking for suggestions on which muffler to get. OR another option is i can get a 2.25" and get the WS2 muffler.

yeah. i was leaning towards the WS2.. but i have some questions about the piping and stuff. Should i just go with 2.25" all the way and then since the WS2 is 2.36". It should be ok right?

i cant differentiate bc my only experience is with the ws2. i like the quiet tone and raspy sound at higher rpms, personally im still searching for an exhaust more in between daily drivable and less restrictive.

Re: COMPTECH VS. Apexi WS2 VS. GReddy SP2
but bsampson said thats will bottleneck the performance. Since your pipe is 2.5", and the WS2 is 2.36", its gettin smaller and restrictive right? i was also wondering of a less restrictive muffler, but something not that loud. Do you think magnaflow piping is good enough to work with the WS2?

RSR exmag? looks stock and sounds quiet....
i was debating btwn the same choices as you and went with the RSR exmag. The SP2, and WS2 tip was still too big and shiny for me...the RSR was a little better.

Correct Smaller to bigger is just fine.. No bottleneck... And if your just doin some standard mods...intake, header, exhuast, 2.25" piping to 2.36" is perfect for that. And as far as exhuasts go out of your 3 choices i would go with the ws2...BUT i would get the RS*R Exmag..Best free flowing quiet exhuast IMO

hm.. yaeh i do'nt plan on building my engine or anything like that anytime soon. so i figured 2.25" is good enough. Isn't the Integra Type R exhaust piping 2.25"?? I need to find a Header with a 2.25" flange.

Re: COMPTECH VS. Apexi WS2 VS. GReddy SP2
u know what guys...the RSR exmag is discontinued for the DC2....BUT on the RSR website if you go to the outlet part...at the end of the page there is a Exmag Muffler only for $150. that muffler is actually for the 4 door Integra. I didn't know that when I purchased it so yea. But I bought it hoping the shop can make it fit...All they had to do was cut the piping to the tip off and reweld the tip back.....it fit perfect esp if you are going to buy your own piping or take it to the shop. hope that helps

Re: COMPTECH VS. Apexi WS2 VS. GReddy SP2
you will have to weld and it would be a bottleneck not to mention not very good ground clearence for a street car....haha ur in the same sitation that i was bro...i wanted good flow...no bottlenecking...not too loud...and good performance...and it was my DD...i ended up getting a greddy header and ill be bolting it on to the 2.36inch evo2 cat back..and magnaflow high flow cat soon. Great ground clearence and the evo2 is not too loud for the streets and ill get the horsepower and the top end gain from the straight through exhuast. (any chambered exhaust like the rsr exmag and ws2 are going to be a LOT more restrctive top end) I found this to be one of the best street/competition setups.

Re: COMPTECH VS. Apexi WS2 VS. GReddy SP2
hmm. My friend has a Greddy header, but its for a GSR. so it wont fit my LS or i would have gotten it for like 50 bucks. and i plan on having a magnaflow hi flo cat as well with the 2.25" piping. Yeah... i wanted to get some good gains, but i really don't want it to be a hassle especially when i drive by a police station EVERYDAY. haha
** Does the Hi-Flo cat make it sound better or raspier?? wats ur experience ppls?

Re: COMPTECH VS. Apexi WS2 VS. GReddy SP2
I'll take that Greddy GSR head for $60 if he wants to sell it. PM me if he does....
As for the high flow cat, it won't make your exhaust raspier, but if anything, it'll give your exhaust a slightly deeper tone. I've had the apexi n1, apexi ws2, greddy sp, trust sp, greddy evo, comptech, and the jdm itr axle back mufflers. In all honesty, you're not going to notice nice gains with just exhaust alone. I loved my n1, but it was way too loud for daily driving. I loved out the greddy systems sound, but I would never buy exhaust systems. I went through 2 sp catback systems, and basically the mufflers or resonators fell apart on me internally. Customer service did nothing about it...comptech was ok, quality is good, sound is decent, looks ugly though. ITR system is basically like stock but with slightly bigger piping. In the end, I've stuck with the apexi ws2 the longest. Its quiet, has a nice tone that's not annoying, looks good, and does its job as an aftermarket exhaust system. BUT, if I could've gotten my hands on the RSR catback system for a good price, then I probably would've went with that.
