ignition output signal CEL #15
hey guys i had a code 9 the other day CYP sensor (cyl 1 sensor), so i bought and installed a new dizzy from AZ and i was driving home and my car just shut off and a code 15 popped up. I think there may be a wiring problem near my ecu, so i checked those wires out and fixed a couple.
Cliff notes:
95 del sol si (jdm sohc vtec JDMd15b obd1)
car wont start (but will everyonce in a while when i tinker with the wires but shuts off
CEL #15 ignition output signal
anyone have some expertise?

Here's where to concentrate:
1) The igniter may be bad.
2) The Yel/Grn wire between the igniter and ECU may be bad (open or short).
3) The Blk/Yel wire between distributor 2P connector and ignition switch may be bad. There should be battery voltage with the key turned to ON(II).

Re: ignition output signal CEL #15 (RonJ@HT)
yeah all of my wires are hacked to bits around that area by my ECU. I tried using a different ECU as well...
sounds like im going to need a mutimeter, i checked for power at the yellow/green wire using a lightbulb and ground and it looks like theres power there (maybe insufficient though???), i literally had just replaced the dizzy when this **** happened and i was driving away from autozone, so im not thinkin its the dizzy too much since its new...

Does the Blk/Yel wire in the distributor have battery voltage with the key in ON(II)?
Does the Yel/Grn wire running between the igniter unit and ECU have continuity? What voltage does this wire have at the igniter unit with the key in ON(II)?
