Re: crx glass roof (crxjarred)
They are pretty hard to find, on occasion they are on eBay, but they cost A LOT for what it is. As for install I can't comment personally but the rigidity of the car will be affected quite a bit.

Wrong. It's much more rigid than a sunroof'd car.

x2, just think of how hard it is to bend a piece of sheet metal? Now think of how hard it wouild be to bend a piece of glass?
And you can check with these guys:

They normally have 1 or 2.

But sheet metal roof can handle some normal twisting and flexing in the car structure, a piece of glass can't. You can't bend it, but that's also a bad thing, it has no gives.
I've seen a few glass roof CRX's around here with cracks in the glass. The enemy of the glass roof is torsional and flexes in the framing, not dead load capacity.
With that said, I believe the Si model with the sunroof framing is a better choice to receive a glass roof.

Re: crx glass roof (zrickety)
Any spots that are welded are weaker. You will have to reinforce welding points on the frame during install. I have seen pics of an install somewhere (probably here, but I forget...). Bottom line is if you are gonna spend an *** load of cash for a glass roof, get it done from a very reputable shop. You are cutting and welding a whole roof onto a car after all.
