What brand brake master cylinder to buy?
My brake MC is toast so in the market for a new one. What's a good brand out there that won't eat up my pockets? Also when I'm looking for one.. do I buy the one with the plastic cylinder attached or buy just the metal contraption underneath the cylinder? Thanks in advance!

Just go down to Autozone and buy one with the lifetime warranty. If the reservoir is not leaking or broken, just but the master cylinder itself.

I will only run Nissin brake components in my car(ex. pads)....that's what I have seen to have the longest life and best performance- plus it's OEM
What car/brake setup are you running? I am a Nissin supplier as well - for cheaper than Majestic

I have a 91 DA LS. Just all stock brake system. My pedals keep going to the ground on hot summer days so I need a new MC. How much are the Nissin ones?

I have Fenco(Autozone) reman's on every honda and one chevy ive driven. None have failed, and most are going on 5-6 years. Stay away from whatever brand Napa sell's, i got one when i couldnt find a Fenco in stock and it was worthless, actualy took it back and found a Fenco at a store further away.

Hey thanks for the offer but I'm not looking to spend over $100 for one since I have tons of other crap to buy for the DA.
DEIVIONCRX - thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into that.. did you buy a remanufactured one or a new one?

Not really skimping.. I'm actually researching around to see which brands are good to use and since Deivioncrx says he has used it for 5-6 years without no failure then I'm looking into that since it could be had for cheaper....
hope you understand sweetheart.. it's not YOU.. it's ME!

If you go a cheaper route, go with PBR- Napa sells that ish...best "after market" brake hydros I've used

Re: What brand brake master cylinder to buy? (hybrid90)
Reman's on all of them.
The Napa ones might of been ok, except they powder coated the whole cylinder and didnt tape off the inside or the threads for the lines, so i had a bitch of a time before i could get the lines started, and i ended up having to poke holes in the coating in the bottom of the resivour so i just said [freak] it and returned it. And got the Fenco.
And about the skimping on brake parts. Ive done 1.5 Seasons of Racing on Valuecraft pads, Raybestos $15 rotors, Brakeware rebuild kits, and Fenco Master Cylinder, along with Duralast shoes and drums without a single problem, and then 5-6 years of daily driving on the same stuff on multipul cars.

So I went to get a Fenco reman MC at Autozone and went home and noticed a "Nissin" on the reman MC.. is that right or is it supposed to say Fenco on it? Just curious..

They will just take whatever cores they receive and rebuild with their own seals/pistons, etc.
