S2000 Spark Plugs? What is everyone using?
N/a
Boost
Currently it's got 47k on the clock and I just picked it up. Swapping all fluids/plugs/etc so I have a baseline of when everything was changed.
I can't seem to find what everyone is using?
I am partial to NGK's as I used them in my Si.
I called AutoZone and they carry Iridium's for it...is that what everyone prefers?
Currently (stock) N/a, but looking to get back on the boost wagon after Winter.
Thanks in advance.

Re: S2000 Spark Plugs? What is everyone using? (ExVtec)
Denso's have known to suck very badly in our cars. I've read, even Denso themselves does not recommend their Iridium plugs in the S2000. I think there are like 3 cases of broken tips and blown motors on s2ki. Their Iridium replacement plug is IK24's V9110-5311.
The S2000 uses the same exact plug as the stock ITR.
Stock plug is Platinum and is NGK PFR7G-11S (do not re-gap)(stock# 7772)
http://www.partsamerica.com/pr...=7772
This is the same plug the dealer will give you, save a few bucks and buy it elsewhere. I do not care for Platinum plugs so I do not use these. If you don't wanna worry about your plugs for 50K then these are the plugs for you.
Stock Iridium replacement plug is NGK IFR7G-11KS (stock# 7746)(do not re-gap)
http://www.partsamerica.com/pr...=7746
If your wondering, the S stands for a stainless steal washer.
The upgraded Iridium replacement plug is NGK BKR8EIX (must be gaped)
http://www.partsamerica.com/pr...R8EIX
This is the plug that most people, who upgrade to Iridium run. This also goes for the ITR. I am running these in my car right now. There are actually only 7$ a pop at the Advanced Auto store.
The next upgrade Iridium replacement plug is the NGK racing plug, R74338. (must be gaped)
http://www.partsamerica.com/pr...74338 (set of 4)(CANNOT get these in the store)
This is the plug most of the Japanese race teams run, including J's racing and Mugen. If you are going to order your plugs online and don't mind spending the extra cash, these are the plugs I would recommend.
EDIT: Found some pixors for you...

I'd run NGK iridiums.
the 100k platinum change interval is BS, IMO. I've pulled platinums at 50-60k and replaced them with obvious improvements in idle and driving characteristics.

FAIL.
this thread is about spark plugs. Not wires.
also....S2000's have coil on plug coilpacks. No plug wires. FAIL again.
Please let me know what the deal is with those race plugs. I don't think the whole set is $32, but if it is, I'm buying 'em!

Re: FV-QR (HondaKyle)
I was too curious to wait to find out if $62 was for 4 or for a single plug so I called advance auto/parts america and they had no idea. So I called NGK directly, they said that $62 is a high price for the plug but yes it is only one individual plug, btw they told me retail is $42 ea/ for them.
