I think he says that he has a 5spd. You use Honda MTF. You can use regular 10W30 Motor oil as well. I used that for a while, but I changed to Honda MTF when I changed my clutch.

what are you talking about???
4 quarts?? try only 2 qts.
ATF in a manual transmission, no... yes you can use 10w-30 in a manaul transmission though I prefer to use Honda MTF. Also, like stated above, some use GM syncromesh. I believe Honda also came out with their own version of syncromesh which you could use as well.

Buy Honda manual tranmission fluid, you can get it from your local dealer for $5.90 per quart. You either need two, or just over two, quarts - just buy three and keep the receipt in case you don't need to tap into the third bottle.
You can also buy it online for around $4.50 per quart plus shipping if you don't have a honda dealer nearby. One site would be http://www.handa-accessories.com (on that site you can't select a '95 Camry - just choose a '98 and you'll see the manual transmission fluid under maintenance items).

Re: what kind of tranny fluid? (Heat)
back before honda came out with tranny fluid they did use motor oil. and at the least use MTF. all though most dealers have gone with the newer version that has the syncromesh like additive. not all are carrying the newer version. it took mine like a year or so to carry it vs one in San Antonio or Cali, they had it like a year before that. its the one in the green bottle. i don't remember the part number though. it has solved a lot of peoples grinding problems and getting into gear problems.

dont use motor oil. why would you use it if honda has made dedicated tranny fluid? come on logic folks.

the manual says to use honda mtf or use motor oil if absolutely necessary, but change it out asap.

what manual are you looking at? Haynes/Chiltons or Helm/factory? Because I don't see anything about if absolute necessary or changing out asap.
