on the back of the switch box (i need to check ) but one of the wires needs a negative pulse, most people hook there alarm up to that since the alarm has a neg pulse output someplace...

A schematic would be helpful. A "relay box" tells me absolutely nothing about what's going on inside. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Sorry do not know anything about the folding mirrors, however if the switch is a simple push button momentary switch, press and release an mirror folds one way press and release again and it folds the other way, it could be tricky to do, but not impossible if the switch is a rocker type, like power window switches, rock forward for up and backwards for down, then a pair of pulse generators and a SPDT relay is all you need, one for open and one for close and relay to trigger pulse generators.

So first question, rocker or push button switch, how does it work? 94

get a volt meter. i believe its wire #3 on the relay box that needs a neg pulse.. if u trace the rest of the wires they go to the mirrors or are the + and - power.. the relay box is what controls the opening and closing and the other box just controls and angle you want to point the mirrior

That's what I thought, and is it just momentary push button switch, [press and release for both fold out and fold in]?
If so, why is there a 12V switched power going to the switch, [#9]? 94

You could use a timer circuit, go to your local electronic supply store and ask for a 12VDC timer module, that can be set to energize the relay for 1 sec. both when 12V+ trigger is supplied and then when 12V+ trigger is removed, turn on ign. and timer module will energize relay for one second, turn ign. off and timer circuit will energize relay for 1 sec., relay will supply the ground pulse, [1 sec.] to mirror modules trigger line. 94
