FAQ: My radio says CODE on it... What do I do?
If you have ever disconnected your battery, you will have the word CODE show up on your OEM radio. If you are not the original owner, or even if you are, you may not have the card that came in the owners packet that has the 5 digit code on it. If you do not know what an owners manual packet is, it includesthe following: A service history guide, warranties booklet, a quick start mini owners manual, an owners manual, a tire warranty guide, the radio code and serial number card, and a tire care guide.
When the radio says CODE on it, it is asking you for the 5 digit code on that little white card in the owners manual packet.
Use the "PRESET" station buttons, enter the code, one digit at a time.
If for some reason you do not have that card, you will need to pull the radio out of the dash, and obtain the serial number from the back of it. Then, call your dealership, and they should provide you with the code for your radio. If not, keep calling Honda and Acura dealers until you can find someone that can help. They may require you to come in, maybe with the radio in hand, to obtain the code.

A dealership should have them, or look on eBay. And I have already PM'd Todd asking for the FAQ status in the main thread.

Actually, here is a trick you can use to obtain the serial number of your OEM radio easily (so you DO NOT have to pull it out of the dash)
Turn your radio off. Hold down the preset button #1 & #6. While holding these buttons down, turn your radio on.
The serial number will be displayed on the LCD in a scrolling fashion, and constantly repeat itself.
So take a pen and paper and write it down as it scrolls by.
This works on my 2002 Honda Civic EX, and many other models.
ALSO:
Sometimes the serial number is located on a white sticker located on the inside or under-side of your glove box. Another spot, is a white sticker possibly on the passenger door frame when the car door is held open.
With this number, you can just call your local Honda dealer and give them the serial number and they can read you the code for your radio. Make sure to write it down for future use.

Re: (IceAeon)
i disconnected my battery yesterday and had to figure out my radio code - when i called the dealership the guy said to look for a white sticker on the glove box, sun visor, cupholders, center console (or anywhere else you can think of where there might be a sticker).
mine was in the glove box. (i have an 03 civic lx.)
if you find the white sticker, the five digit number on it is your radio code.

Actually, that's the serial number. It can be used to get the Unlock Code, but it isn't the code itself.

Hello army guy...
I just bought a second hand civic 2005... and of course the radio is lock (anti-theft mode)..... and it didn't come with the owners manual booklet :S even not with the spare tire.
i have searched the freaking code on the net and can't find it.
Can you provide me your radio code? just in case who knows would work on mine please!.
I tried with the '22123' code from an Acura 2005 but didn't work.

the dealer will also hide the code either in the glove compartment, under lid of fuse box in engine compartment or between the rear speakers in the trunk, it will be a 5-6 digit code depending on your model, the dirrections to enter the code is in your manual

It's actually ALOT easier than calling or even going into the dealer.
It can all be done online now:
