i really dont know what negrative trigger means,
can i just wire the red cable to the power wire of the high beams and ground the black wire? is there a con of doing that?

update:

turned out the be the rack, we checked the pump and it "looked" fine, installed a spare rack and now the car is smoother, not 100% though, because when the car is at idle, is still hard,...

i think you can get to the pump by removing the fender liner above the tire and rotate the tire to get more space, at least thats how i did it in my 94 lx, i dont think theres much difference. check...

it can be a variety of stuff, in my 94 lx, were dirty or fouled spark plugs and dirty fuel filter and injectors,
does that hiccup you say was a misfire?
