Change your PCV valve, change the oil to a thicker grade, check/clean/replace the spark plugs, change your air filter. Completing these maintenance items will give you the best shot at passing it. ...

There is only one kind of Honda ATF that is currently available. It is DW1 and I believe that it is a semi synthetic. The old Z1 is no longer available... probably a good thing.

Your new plugs should not be longer than the old ones, unless what was in there was the incorrect plug. This could cause misfires.

Could I suggest you look at a diagram from a site such as honda accessories. It may help out. I also used rubber line to replace a section of fuel line on my sons 1993 Civic.

Is it blowing out very hard? I am not sure what you can do about the temperature, but you may want to check your air filter behind the glove box to ensure that it is not full of debris.

They will be fine. I used 2001 Si rims and tires on my 2005. I went from 14 to 15 inch. As EK said above.

I did mine with a satin black. It really made a difference. I lightly sanded mine prior to painting.
