Ok thank you I will try running a new red wire and see if that fixes the problem. I really appreciate the time and help on this, may have saved me from throwing parts at it! I will post the results...

Ok just tested at the unplugged distributor plug (distributor side) black probe to ground and red porbe to dist terminals. NO continuity to any 8 of the terminals. So that means red wire is shorting...

Thanks for the quick reply, I did not check that prior. Just went out and checked continuity from the actual ECU with ecu connector unplugged right? Heres what I got with black probe...
