You need to change your Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid located next to your gas tank. Its a $30 part from rockauto.

The light might come back. I was able to put 60k on my 2001 acura 1.7 el with the same P0740 code. I changed the tranny fluid twice a year though. If you find the light is coming on more frequently...

1. Disconnect the TPS and connect a voltmeter across the Green/Black and Yellow/Blue wires = 5v with the ignition on (engine off).

P0740 - means your torque converter is going and need to be replace or the o-ring is damage. I would recommend that you get some to rebuild your own transmission.
