yes, i tested the ICM (igniter) and it tested good.. i took it to autozone to be double sure.. i put the coil that has never been used before and is known to be good (but still tested at .1ohms) on...

can hook up a scanner to see if youre getting any RPM reading while cranking... if not then you could have a crank sensor issue..

yes, clear the code and see if it comes back... if it does disconnect the distributor connector and test the resistance between terminal 2 and 4 (when looking at the connector they will be the two...

so i been having some starting issues with my 97 prelude.. i have fuel, compression (165 at every cylinder), and spark (not sure how strong but it is there).. I tested my coil and the results were...

just spray some carb cleaner around the areas you think there maybe a leak. wait to see if the idle changes. its a quick way to find vacuum leaks and worth a try.

well i do know that the fuses that have to do with the alarm are also used for other components..

fuse 41 and 43 (underhood) and fuse 17 underdash. they all have to do with the alarm system...

its a myth that changing that trans fluid after a lot of miles will hurt the trans. if the trans is bad than the trans is bad. changing the fluid is not going to make it worse

solid tips for entry level. find a solid sequence when doing the service work. doing it right and fast will get you noticed. ALWAYS TIGHTEN THE OIL DRAIN PLUG AND DO NOT DOUBLE GASKET THE OIL FILTER....

I went to my local college and got a degree in applied science under automotive. If you are expecting to make a bunch of money in the automotive service industry then you need to do some research.....

to check if the fans work all you have to do is unplug the connector and apply power and ground to the terminals.

does either of them come on when you turn the AC on?

have you tried applying power to the fans to make sure the motors work?

temp sensor? thermostat stuck open?

yes some sensors can leak oil. such as a oil pressure sensor. those dizzy o-rings are notorious for leaking though.. bad install?
