To be honest I don't know. I bought the car wrecked and repaired the body damage. I drove it around the neighborhood a couple of time but not long enough to see if it was using oil. The car ran great...

Well I am done with trying to repair the 01 accord. Today while putting the plugs in on #1 I was like, why is this plug higher than the others? I took it back out and it had a anti fouler on the end...

compression test results

I did a compression test on my 01 with a f23a1. Engine has 174k on it. Cyl 1-175, cyl 2-160, cyls 3&4-150. Are these normal numbers? There is 25psi differance between cyl 1 and 3 and 4.

I have a 98 accord with a non vtech parts car, Would the non vtech injectors on that car be the same as a 01 accord vtech? If so I will use them.

Its a 31703. I bought it at a pawn shop. I offered the guy $100. out the door and he accepted my offer. I think I got a pretty good deal on it.

Thanks for the response, I am more or less leaning towards the injectors. Before I erased the codes It had codes p0301,p0302,p0303,p0300 and code p1399. I only let the engine run a minute or two...

Just a thought, I'm thinking possibly the 3 year old gas could have clogged the injectors which is making the car run like crap and throwing misfire codes. Going to do a valve adjustment on it monday...

After looking at it yesterday afternoon I think I am going to go in from the top of the tank by pulling the fuel pump out. Then I should be able to get the gas out with one of those cheap hand siphon...

I finally have a little time to work on my 01 accord and was going to drain the 3+ year old gas from the tank. I have it up on jack stands and have search all exposed sides and the bottom of the tank...

Thanks, I replaced the cap and rotor today and still have the misfire. Could old gas cause misfires? The gas in the car is 2-1/2 to 3 years old. The exhaust smells. Does not smoke at all just smells....
