idk about the vtec interfering but we'll wait on buddy^ to explain how it interferes...i'd say check ur spark plugs nd wires first..maybe distributor..start with the small things like ur...

since u said u replaced ur water pump...u might also need a head gasket..and might have to bleed the system also

question for you guys...i have a spare h22 laying around and been debating weather to slap it on this hatch i have..but the thing is that it doesnt have the vtec solenoid....i was wondering that...

its a 2001 civic lx...anyways well mom just got home and called me that her brake lights are still engaged even though the car is off? i find that a bit weird.. so before i go tackle that tomorrow...

well this is weird..maybe a month ago i posted about me doing the head gasket on my 1999 civic lx..(d16y7)...but today i went and tried the heater...and instead of producing heat it gives off cold...

yea but EFPhilly i think his prelude motor has that knock sensor...so it does that to regulate the piston slap or something....

you might have put the wires wrong? but if it doesnt start AT all then check battery, alternator,relays,fuses,starter, the relays under the dash...you might have an anti theft relay unplugged...fuel...

mmmm the alternator might be bad..cuz i get the same sound...and its my alternator.....there are other things that can make that sound also..but thats my guess at the moment cuz thats what im going...
