I had an 96 Acura legend with the same problem, a dealer replaced the motor with a used one and all coolant parts and still the same problem...i sold the car..too much money and time to find the...

Good morning all, i guess this P0420 code is very common. I bought my 98 civic from my brother in law who said that it needed an idle air control sensor, that was the cause of the check engine light....
