Re: B18 Tranny Went Out, Good Source For One?

Yeah, the yard is my fall back plan. It's drastically cheaper, but it's a lot of work ha ha! Especially if it has any issues. That's good to know on the b16 trans, I bet that would be a fun...

Re: B18 Tranny Went Out, Good Source For One?

Do the b16 cable trans require any mods or is it a direct bolt on fit?

B18 Tranny Went Out, Good Source For One?

My tranny just ate itself, so I need a new/rebuilt one, rather not risk a junk yard pull. Can someone point in the right direction for a reputable source? I'm in Portland, OR if you know of...

Will A Wagon Roof Rack Fit A Hatchback?

I am in the market for a roof rack/luggage rack before I move across country and found a Thule that says it came off of a wagon.

Does anyone know off hand if there is any reason it wouldn't fit...

Re: 88 Civic Si Rustoleum Paint Job: Cost $70ish

Yes sir, my typo. That is a big confirmed, no 88 si. I believe they made a CRX Si for the 88 year though.

Re: 88 Civic Si Rustoleum Paint Job: Cost $70ish

Yeah I plan to attempt some correction. This is my first dabbling into painting anything this large, I do a lot of mopeds since I fix up vintage mopeds and they always came out pretty darn well so i...

Re: new here...1990 civic hatchback

Very nice! I too would suggest passing on the body kit, but it's yours ha ha! It's just in really good shape and that's hard to find. I'd put money into rebuilding the suspension and worn out...

Re: HELP PLEASE

Your oil should not ever smell like gas. If it does, you have a seal or gasket not doing it's job, may just be really bad plug seals, but if it's overheating and smells, then I would still lean...

Re: steering wheel upside down after alignment

If the car goes straight and the alignment is good, make sure the wheels are straight and just pop the steering wheel off and turn it to where it should be.

Re: HELP PLEASE

Is it overheating? Does the oil smell like gas or look watery? I'd check and make sure you don't have a blown head gasket first since that can cause major damage if driven on very quickly.

Check...

Re: Wiring help with Prelude fogs in EF Si

Alright great. I think I got this. Once I can find a oem switch I can use, I'll give it a shot again. Thanks again!

Re: 88 Civic Si Rustoleum Paint Job: Cost $70ish

Of course that's over reacting, I'm not actually ruining lives obviously (hopefully ;)), I'm simply reciprocating some of the more absurd comments.

Deetz, you were for example, respectful and...

Re: 88 Civic Si Rustoleum Paint Job: Cost $70ish

Yeah dude, I am happy with it for now. As long as my paint job doesn't keep ruining peoples lives, I'm making a drive to Portland from Chicago in two weeks and will update! Just FYI, the rustoleum...

Re: 88 Civic Si Rustoleum Paint Job: Cost $70ish

I used rustoleum, the auto primer and then just basic white, and a semi gloss clear coat. I'm happy with it, could be better, like I said but I also had a good time, and did it on my own in three...

Re: Code 16 after installing cruise control

Wish I could help, but I just snagged most everything I need for a cruise setup aside from pedal assembly and switches to put in my 88 si. How difficult and time consuming was the install so far?

Man, if this is just going to turn into a mass orgy of negative, I'm taking this down.

Come on kids.

This is embarrassing.

Re: 88 Civic Si Rustoleum Paint Job: Cost $70ish

Yeah man, if I had a shop do it I would have saved the door garnish and window trims but for the work to beer ratio, I just kept it easy ha ha! Hey I'm actually moving to Portland on the 16th of this...

Re: 88 Civic Si Rustoleum Paint Job: Cost $70ish

Yeah, all rattle canned. It took 6 for two coats of primer, took 8 for the color but I would have liked to do a third coat, and 4 for two coats of clear and again, I think I'm going to do another...
