I actually bought these last week, was in a similar situation with worries but I have a trigger figure and too impulsive to pass a good deal, plus figured the same thing about it being the same...

If they are ARP head studs you can use them multiple times. If they are the stock bolts you need to throw them away and get new ones.

The engine should also be checked for overheating issues. An overheating engine radiator can cause the air-conditioning system's pressure to increase significantly.

Is the distributor rotor turning when you crank the engine? It may be the drive gear on the distributor is bad. They are nylon and do tend to get brittle and break!

Inspect the parts, I would at least pull one spark plug and look at the electrode, if it's worn, it's time. On the cap & rotor, just pop the cap off and take a look, if it looks new leave alone, if...

Probably will need replacing as there isn't much you can do to fix if faulty. With the oil in the intake problem check out your pcv valve is clean and working ok
