What I found so far is my CVS valve did in fact activate but it wasn't completely closing the flow. The valve body was leaking to atmosphere (where the case is crimped together). Just for testing...

code 1457 troubleshooting

Canister Vent valve troubleshooting needed:
No power applied - valve normally open
When 12v is applied - valve holds an applied vaccum.
However, when the 12v is removed the vaccum is still present...
