Re: Broken CV-joints

I had a CV joint go once when I was driving - well, while I was turning a corner across two busy lanes of highway traffic - damn near got hit by a big truck because it just stopped moving.

Get it...

Re: Accord TCU Issue

Right - I got the TCU stuff figured out and have a working TCU @mangabay - it wasn't too bad, but I'll keep you in mind if I need to do it over again ...

What I'm wondering about now is if anyone...

Re: '96 Accord draining battery? Power locks may have a bad relay

Does the battery drain only when the car is running or does it drain when the car is not running and then recharge when the car is running?

Did they test if there is a draw on the battery when the...

Re: Accord TCU Issue

So I got a new TCU and it worked great ... for like 5 minutes. But this time I don't think it's the TCU.

So here's the saga:

92 Accord Wagon LX

I replaced the transmission before I...

Re: Tail Lights, Dash lights and parking lights not working.

I had the same issue on my '89 Accord back in the day when I had it. It was - in fact - a blown fuse. That would be the first place I'd check.

Re: Brake Problem

I've replaced the brakes on my 92 accord a good number of times and compressed it every time - no issues thus far.

If you've bled the lines already you can check that the caliper slides (pins)...

Accord TCU Issue

I have a 1992 Accord Wagon LX and have been having transmission issues.

It got stuck in 3rd gear and wouldn't shift at all - I changed the transmission fluid and there were bits of metal so I...

Re: How to remove 92 accord rotors

I just did this (well, actually replaced bearings so I replaced the rotors while I was at it).

You can get the rotors "turned" or resurfaced while they're still on the car. A special type of...

Re: crazy idle

Mine does the same thing occasionally ...

I don't know what causes it, but if you find out let me know.

Re: 92 Accord Axle Issue

The ends are the same, I'll try to shove it a bit harder.

It's an automatic - any difference?

Re: Did I put incorrect oil wt in girlfriend's accord

I've run that exact same oil in my accord in MN in the winter and haven't had problems (and it gets REALLY cold here). I prefer a 5w30 for the winter here, but it survived without any lasting...

Re: '94 accord

Just a guess from an amateur, but have you considered the fuel pump or injectors as a possible culprit?

92 Accord Axle Issue

I'm working on replacing the axle in my 92 Accord Wagon (no ABS).

I've got everything apart, the old axle out and the new axle "almost" in. And that's the problem.

I can't seem to get it to...

Re: 92 Wagon Bearing/Axle Issue

I asked on here because my dad, who has been out of the business for about 10-15 years, said he wasn't positive it was the bearing if I replaced that and it had the same problem, though it could be...

92 Wagon Bearing/Axle Issue

My 92 Accord has been making crazy loud noises for awhile coming from the left front wheel. It started out as a low roar, like loud road noise and gradually grew to a grinding noise. It was...
