Sadly I think it did run dry... I've never really been able to know how much fluid its in it.. But I feel like the output shaft seals weren't properly installed out possibly were even the wrong...

i would just wait it out and get a d16z6 engine and put a d15b7 tranny into it.. that's what i have now cuz my z6 tranny went out.. it's still a lot of fun and i'm only at 2600 or so at 70 mph. great...

I love my cx transmission. 2600 at 70 :D lol I love my sohc. I can't imagine being over 3k for an extended drive... too much noise for me.

hmm, I would think that's burnt oil also, though not sure if that's even going to hurt your engine unless fresh oil sticks to it.. and I don't think it exactly hurts it with just a filter but I read...

oh and lightweight flywheel with heavy duty clutch
